FAQ
Who can see my map?
Only you – and, in shared maps, the members who joined via an invitation link. They only see visits you share (the default), no hearts, wishes or private entries (🔒). Others only see your username, never your email address. If you leave, you disappear from that map immediately.
Why is a country missing or a border drawn differently?
The map uses Natural Earth and shows borders "de facto", i.e. as they are actually administered. This is not a political statement. Somaliland counts as Somalia and Northern Cyprus as Cyprus so they can be marked.
What do the views mean?
"Whole countries" colours a country as soon as you have marked anything there – even a single city. "Regions & places" colours only what you actually marked: whole countries, single regions and cities as dots. Countries where you only marked single places appear light there.
How is "% of land area" calculated?
From the area of the marked areas relative to the total land area of the Earth (including Antarctica). In "Whole countries" every country counts fully; in "Regions & places" only whole countries and marked regions count, cities add no area.
How do I get an account?
Only with an invitation code from someone who is already a member.
